You then can ask people or barkeeps about rumors of Helgen. For instance, in the Alternate Start I mentioned about being left for dead on the side of the road (random spot in Skyrim), the premise is that you and some friends were thinking about being adventurers before the attack and heard of something in Helgen. After all, making fun of misfortune seems to clear all the Skyrim bug woes. How does it handle getting you on the main story quest? I guess I wouldn't really need to ever do it, but I was planning on using it once I've finished all vanilla+dlc content.Basically it puts Helgen as a "rumor" at the end of your starting quest. Needless to say I let out a loud groan of annoyance, followed by a giggle or two at the stupidity of it all. I moved my character's head around and half of the entire cast was. Right when the cart stopped to get the prisoners off I saw there was no horse on mine, and the other cart was completely missing. I thought it was over once the dust cleared and turned back to my laptop, waiting for the character creation to show up. (small cart killing you bring up a few bad memories? Anyone? Perhaps a skull or bucket?) I face the tv and I witnessed the most hilarious thing (at least to me anyway) The horse in the carriage my character was in, was spassing out of control but the cart was still going, and then a few seconds later the cart jolted and sped up on top of the other cart! Amazingly no one died from Skyrim's weird collision laws. And all of a sudden I see weird patterns of flashing lights on the screen at the corner of my eye. So this is like my one hundredth play-through (give or take a few more ), and I look away for about 10 seconds. I look on my laptop, chat a bit but also play Skyrim at the same time. I had a similar experience to what frostspiderman had.
